I often see large brownish and reddish coloured millipedes wandering across footpaths and roads on quiet, damp mornings. However, one day I bumped into this rather dashing-looking fellow at Phu Wiang NP, in Khon Kaen, one wet June morning in 2011. He is known as a Thai Rainbow Millipede or Tonkinbolus dollfusi. He was large in size and spectacular in colour. I will add other species soon.
