Whiptail Scorpion (Hypoctonus rangunensis)

Before I moved to my new house in Khon Kaen I only ever saw a solitary Whiptail Scorpion on Koh Samet when I was holidaying with friends. Since then, I have discovered that they are quite common where I live and vary considerably in size. Move a plantpot or a shoe and there is sometimes a specimen just sleeping there. This species is, I think, Hypoctonus rangunensis, though I could be wrong. They are great to see and totally harmless. DON'T KILL THEM. they won't do you any harm at all.
